It's funny how people underrated him now because he is struggling in Spain. I can't believe many people already forgot how good he was when he was with Liverpool.

I haven't forgotten, I thought he was okay at Liverpool, but nothing more. He was only ever good in patches for Liverpool, I didn't see him have one outstanding season with them. I remember a few seasons ago that people on here would compare Oscar and Coutinho to each other, most people would say they were very similar because they would play really well for month or two and then disappear for the rest of the season.

If he was to join us, you would soon see fans complaining because his peformances aren't living up to their expectations.

I remember vaguely that one of our defenders (can't remember who) said Coutinho was the most difficult opponent to play against.

Not ridiculous at all. Oscar was starting for brazil, keeping countino out the side for a few seasons. 

Both have a similar output in the premier league, coutinho scores more goals, but oscar is better defensively. The reason i compared them both, is because both are inconsistent, and both can go missing for large parts of the season. 

You say coutinho is world class, if he truly was, then he wouldnt be struggling so much in spain.

I struggle to see what WC attributes Coutinho has. All I've seen are the occasional flashes of brilliance which every average PL player shows or the once in a blue moon thunderbasterds.

For 100m, we can surely find someone better.

I also still remember that time we compared Coutinho and Oscar, but as at that time, Coutinho haven't yet adapted to the league.

Haha, the fact he is struggling at Barca doesn't really mean anything, a new manager can come in and get the best out of him. Shevchenko was a world class striker when we signed him, but he struggled here.

The comparisons were going on until the moment Oscar left the club, and they both joined the Premier League the same season. Coutinho was into his 5th season at Liverpool, he was as adapted to league as he was ever going to be by that point.

What a dismal substitute purchase for koulibaly, he must have felt like a teenager that ask their mum for a pair of designer jeans from selfridges and she comes home with chinos from Marks and Sparks

I liked Oscar but in all honestly Coutinho was a better footballer who had a better knack of scoring and creating. Oscar was too hit or miss for me, one game he could look class then the next he would offer little to nothing. I think that’s why he has ended up where he is.

Dont think Coutinho would come here in any case regardless of the ban.

 
If the reporter by Spanish outlet is to be believed,Barca are stepping up their pursuit of Mbappe ,with an unprecedented deal set to be on offer-willing to offer Coutinho as part of the deal  in addition to also shellig out 150million euro!

 
Looks like we'll be replacing Hazard with Coutinho if the ban gets overturned.

We could certainly be targeting him, but Amoyal is an idiot and doesn’t know anything.  He covers Serie A, and was dumb enough to say last summer that Sarri doesn’t speak a lick of English.
