Yes it will. China will never be a footballing powerhouse. It's not just Europe, it's Africa, Europe, North America, South America. Viewers in The West are more important than The East.

I would much prefer World Cup Australia over Qatar, that's for damn sure. Frankly I retract my previous statement because Brazil is a sh*thole regardless of favorable kickoff times. I will never go to a third world country so I guess I'll never go to a world cup because Fifa has given the next 3 cups to sh*thole countries, and including south Africa it's gonna be four straight world cups in horrible places.

 
Australia would put on a great world cup, at the bare minimum they wouldn't use slave labor, or ban alcohol for religious reasons, or make women cover everything but their eyes, or subject foreign fans to crime waves, or depress tourists with a bleak and desolate hopeless country with a famine every 5 minutes, or give everyone malaria.

 
We all know that every World Cup should be in the USA, greatest sporting event on earth in the GREATEST country on earth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  :Troll_Face:

But seriously, if I was a professional footballer with some international clout I would protest/boycott the 2018 and 2022 editions of the World Cup. Russia/Qatar are completely narrow minded in their acceptance of others people, races, cultures or have deplorable conditions for workers to the extent of slave labor (or so I here)

 
Edit: I am not saying everyone from those countries are bad people, so please do not take offense if you are from either one of those places. Just all the news in the USA recently about racism and homophobia in Russia is disgusting and all I hear about in Qatar is about how the workers are treated liked slaves.

 
I agree that awarding the World Cups to Russia and Qatar are out of my reach of thought, but the last posters comments about Brazil etc. being pointless countries with nothing but poor people and diseases are beyond ignorance.

Brazil is entirely worthy of the World Cup...sure, there's problems, more than many countries, less than many others...

I will never understand Qatar no matter how it's spun, but that might just me.

 
Nope cam, it's everyone, and Russia actually as as bazaar of a decision of qatar, if there's a news article these days about racism in football there's a 99,9% chance it's coming out of Russia, but at least both Qatar and Russia have oil.

 
They really have screwed it all up from here, South Africa I think was the pinnacle, can't get better than that, and even despite Spain winning it I think it was a superb tournament held in the best of places, Brazil is obviously on of the main nations in the World cup since it's start and it will without doubt be a fantastic world cup, but after that it's going to straight down the drain.

Can't wait what they have in store for 2026 - a match in every country perhaps?

 
My prediction for the 2026 World Cup: You will play each team in your group, so six games with a home and away tie that are three days apart. This will allow players one day to fly all across the globe and play like sh*t in sh*t conditions on a daily basis. Oh wait, you already have that by putting the World Cup in one country, like Qatar.

Or they could just have the 2026 World Cup in North Korea, certainly that is the next step after Russia and Qatar.  :face_palm:
