I have drunk it on a few occasions and that tends to be when there isn't an alternative in a bar of if the alternative is just as bad e.g. Fosters. It's the lesser of two evils.

I was there last December and visited the brewery shop (I only had room for one weissbier in my luggage, which I am still saving for later). There was big banner boasting they had been voted Germany's brewery of the year.

Funnily enough, one of Wales' top breweries, Brains, used to brew a lager back in the 80s called Faust. They didn't do so for long, and have specialised in (excellent quality) ales, notably Brains SA.
