heh-played a practice run to get my tactics right (which didn't work)- Winner of Group g4's group plays second in my group (or vice-versa) so England Italy could be a second round match, and there are currently no human teams in groups C or D so there could be a bottom half human pile up in that half of the tournament:>

Humourous is Loz/BB's draw. 2nd in Loz/BB's group F will play Spain in the first knockout, assuming they win their group. And the winner of their group plays most likely 2nd placed Ivory Coast: tough draw:>

So me against Drogs and Bluebeard against Messi. I shall still pick Boumsong. Also Charvet and Guivarc'h.

 
How are we going with this? Everyone contacted g4 to organise their squad?

Also the groups will be different as we had to reload after a g4 screw up! Wellllll done. it begins already.

My squad is picked and yes I do have Vieira (but sadly not Boumsong)

Looks like we'll have to do this in January- i'm sure everyone is busy over Christmas and the NY. Will set a deadline for squad selection in early Jan!

In other news: In our multiplay EPL league G4 has been sacked 11 games into the second season as everton manager. He joins former Shed End regular Henry in the unemployment office who survived a very generous 30 games with Spurs. Best of luck in your new work as a fast food cook g4!

you take everton to 2nd in the league on a profit in your first season, and winning their CL group in the second and they sack you anyway!

was a big surprise without question, obviously three factors:

1) even bringing quality in, we had only one real first 11 signing last season who needed to adapt in vukcevic, so the side being settled was a big factor. dzeko starting the season like a chance missing moron hurt a lot, as did trying to get others in the squad to adapt. couldn't find my first 11.

2) promised the title to get money- didn't work... seemed to ramp up pressure from the board (obviously), but also the players own expectations.. very strange.

3) fixture list very unkind- you start with 3 of the big four in the first few fixtures and combined with the above you get a situation where the players lose faith quickly.

Would I be right in saying I should be downloading the boxed version of the patch (since I am using daemon)

SO! When are we going to get this started? Are people free over the next few weekends? I suggest we make a deadline for selecting your squad via G4's comp and then we can have a start date. Deadline could be next Friday? I will PM participants.

Im currently waiting for a new computer to arrive this week and i'll PM G4 when im ready too sort out a time to fix the world cup winning squad.
