Bought a Samsung 42" a couple of years ago. Picture and sound quality are both very good. Replaced a JVC CRT which I'd had for years and stopped working. Took the JVC down to the local council tip. Had forgotten how heavy the JVC telly was. I live in a flat and carrying it down the stairs to the car was a challenge. Didn't do my back any good.

Have looked at curved screen televisions and can't see what the attraction and difference. Must be missing something.

I've heard curved TV's are over hyped massively anyways

However, 4k TV's are brillaint

Not worth getting 4k TV's right now though as they are overpriced and there aren't many movies/tv series that are made in 4k format ... yet

Generally yes it would be

But what would the TV be used for: gaming, 3d etc...

If it's for a cheap price why not but the best thing for you would be to check it out in person and compare it to 200hz TV

That way you will realise the difference (if there is any)

 
Me again, Does anyone have a plasma tv? If so what do you think of it? What are the pros and cons?

 
Plasma pros: Better viewing angles, excellent black level, fast moving objects look better.

Plasma cons: They use up lots more electricity than LED tvs, brightness isn't as good as LED.

Nether really is significantly better than the other, depends on your preferences.

 
Thank you Richard. Plasma are always a lot cheaper which usually means they are worse.

Indeed, a lot of manufactures are scaling down production of Plasmas due to cost.
