Armando Broja

And he's done all that with his team having a mere 24% possession and not a great deal to go on, strange how he doesn't need perfect conditions to do his job.
Does everything need to be about Lukaku with you?

As a matter of fact I think Broja would thrive playing off someone like Lukaku for us. He'd hold up and occupy defenders and Broja could attack the space he left open with his blistering pace. And he'd do a much better job than every single one of our attackers have done so far this season.

For as long as there's anyone blaming others for his lack of workrate and things like touching the ball 8 times in a half, yes if our loanee is showing our record signing how to maximize his ability's then i will absolutely point out. Same way i would if people tried to pin Saul's struggles on Jorgi and Kova only for Gilmour to have a great game for Norwich.

If he put himself about, pressed and got involved like Mando did today at The Ethiad last week there's every chance we get a point, if not all three.

The way this guy is playing now he'd be our best forward. We'd be idiots to sell him to Southampton even with a buy-back clause.

He's causing City all kinds of problems with his speed and power right now.
Our board is capable of pretty idiotic things.

Whereever Broja ends up he will be a top, top player.

Broja is a very good finisher though still needs to work on interplay, I watched some of the City match.

Saints had opportunities and if he had carried the ball a bit further or waited for the pass instead of charging away they might have got all the points.

A top prospect for us though still a work in progress and has a better first touch than some of our front men.

Apparently Saints are willing to offer a buy back like we dealt with Roma for Tammy.

25mill fee, buy back option in summer of 2024 for 50mill.
so we will pay 50 million for him to play for 2 seasons at the saints while we could just as well let him play there for free and then recall him anyway??? that's throwing away 25 million

He won't be getting sold unless Saints offer something absolutely ridiculous.

This isn't like Livramento, Lamptey etc, he's on a long term contract.

i really hope so, if we sell him i think i will be devastated. Same for Gallagher (contract till 2025). Gilmour has a contract till 2023 so that will be interesting what we are going to do. Will we bring both Gilmour and Gallagher back? You cannot loan out Gilmour again if he doesn't extend. If you bring both Gilmour and Gallagher back then we have 6 midfielders for 2 positions

Todays papers are all reporting that West Ham are going to be making an offer. We all know they are going to lowball us, as they expect us to sell our players for cheap, but then say we need £100m for Declan Rice. I hope we tell every team to not bother tbh, but we should definitely telling those lot he's worth £90m so pay up or shut up.

West Ham can take a leaf out the scummers book and go f**k themselves!

If they were to offer a straight swap for Declan Rice that might make things more interesting ... I'd still refuse that though LOL

You can just see the next KDB catastrophic type sale, but sprinkled with Salah goals, big big big mistake to sell, cos you know we’d buy back for £90 odd million, cos we’re daft and Chelsea…….

Will he be that good? Time will tell, but I do believe he will become quite a special player.

£25m bid coming in from Southampton soon apparently.

Selling him without even getting him to back this summer have a look at him and see how he's improved would be so dissapointing IMO.

That would show that the board have zero foresight and wouldn't be backing Tuchel enough.

If it's around that area of 25m that means very little to us, why not just keep him and see what happens...

Depends whether there is a buy back clause or first option on any future sale.

Like it or not we're stacked for options in attack at the moment and there is no clear path into the first team for Broja right now.

So profit of £25m now in a year where we made financial loses despite winning the European Cup. Pair that with the profit in sales made during the summer despite buying Lukaku for just shy of £100m and it's good business from a FFP stand point.

Means we go into next summer in the black and would presumably be in a strong position financially to spend. Especially when there's a very real posibility of needing to recruit possibly two central defenders should Rudiger and Christensen leave on free transfers and us needing better cover for RB/RWB.
