Not a fan of Maresca, but since he had those conversations they have signed Semenyo, Guehi, Anderson, and about to sign and loan back Bouaddi.

Weird statement from the club, essentially washing dirty laundry in public.

Probably would have been a much better strategy to make no comment at all and then go all in on the Alonso positive PR when he starts officially on 1st July.

We've been asking them to be transparent with the fan base with day one, this is one the few times they actually have. There were so many false rumours about us sacking him etc. thank god they addressed the situation and put it to bed.

 
Very strange and the irony to say no club wants to change its head coach midway like they have never done it toward other clubs before.

It's also strange with the outrage here toward maresca considering he's not rated and many would like him gone anyway. Instead of the standard sack-payout, this time Chelsea actually got compensation. They should be happy but instead they're getting all personal over this case. I think some people just have the tendency looking something to blame to vent their anger when things went wrong but maresca is the wrong target in this case due to the fact he's not really wanted here anyway.

You dont understand anger towards a manager who met with another club, decided he wanted to manage that club then blatantly shafted us and tried to get sacked, ruining a season?

 
I dont understand why anyone is upset by that statement, I think its about time we starting fighting our corner rather being nice little put upon Chelsea. Maresca and City have broken rules, that bald clown has ruined a season trying to get sacked, has messed up some young players development during that time etc. What would you rather we do, just be good little boys and accept the big boys have taken our bike?

This makes no sense, two things can be true at the same time.

We can be thankful he's gone for a payout and still admit he's a monumental bellend. Just because we got an apology and some money doesn't absolve him of all his sins.

Maresca dick riders are a weird bunch.

Bizarre. Why on earth would it mean that? MC and Maresca wanted each other months before his departure. 'Pool had every opportunity to appoint Alonso and chose not to.

No it just means that Maresca is a spineless little tart, like a lot have been saying for years. Maresca's choice has no bearing on Alonso.

If he's doing very well with chelsea and done that then it's understandable the anger but most of us wanted him gone even before that. Had it not him having a lil bit of backbone (money wise) to resign then you people would blame him for stinking the place. His tactic got found out, he's not wanted by the fans then what's he supposed to do? You do realize he actually didn't stink the place until he got sacked like many others would do in his position, right?

And it's a surprise that you're actually buying the club statement in blaming his departure for ruining the season considering you never really rated him in the first place. If he's not that good then the sooner he goes the better don't you think? The club in ruin is mainly due the board incompetence for not replacing him correctly and sooner.

The outrage towards him seems like a case when a girlfriend wanted a break up but get upset when the boyfriend beat her to it.

This is very backwards logic. No one is upset he's gone but they can still be upset by the disrespect he showed the club.

When people have opinions like this completely devoid of emotion i can only assume Chelsea are a minor hobby for you that you recently picked up, there's no way someone can love a club and think like this when said club is disrespected. Enzo himself has apologised to the club for his wrongdoing, take the hint.

Think Alonso does well and Maresca bombs you think city wont come poaching again? Or Liverpool?

I'm kind of hoping that Alonso is as impressive as we all hope he might be and shapes this side... Falls in love with West London, CFC, and stays....

My outrage started when he was appointed Chelsea manager, it simmered and boiled for the duration of his time at the club, and Im genuinely loving the fact the tart has gone.

I do feel for rosinior in all this, a caretaker coach hired on a six year deal to smooth his departure despite not being ready to manage a side like ours.

Fingers crossed we have it right this season as I'm kind of looking forward to it, cant be worse than last season.

Then tried to get himself sacked with his comments in the media and when that failed walked mid season. He's apologised and owes us compensation. City have apologised and owe us compensation. Not even his hair follicles trust him.

Nothing you mentioned warrant the outrage like you demonstrated here. His poor tactic and presscon are just indicator that he's not up to Chelsea standard. Meeting other clubs while under contract is not something new, it happens all over the places, plus if he really wants to do it in secrecy it can be easily done so that's why tapping up concept is a bit of a joke.

The compensation is paid because he resigned under contract, not because of any so called sins you would like us to believe. The apology is just maresca full of himself thinking it was his departure that got Chelsea in ruin, kind of his way of hyping himself up and some of you actually buying it.
