So after a day, I'm pretty into it. The passes and first touches both seem to be a little less accurate, making the game feel more realistic. There have also been some awesome moments where I am pinging it around between Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Torres, and Ramires and it feels effortless. I'll have to work some more on adjusting the sliders for the team strategy to better use all the new talent we have.
Speaking of talent, Ramires and Oscar are both pretty awesome, as are Hazard and Mata, but when I used a 3-CAM formation it wasn't as effective as deploying Hazard and Mata as wingers with Oscar playing behind Torres. Speaking of Torres, it's probably just me, but for an 85-rated striker he's not quite as dominant as you'd hope; I've actually had better luck with Sturridge.
The announcers also have some bits about us winning the CL, but I had a penalty given away while they were talking so it was cut off.
As for difficulty, I am not sure what to think. I started off beating City in the Shield 3-0, but then lost 4-2 to Reading, so I won't be bumping up the difficulty quite yet. I'm quite excited to see how our young players progress in this game, would love to get far enough in a career that I can be playing all these young guys. As if he read my mind, I already have Lampard in my career mode contemplating retirement, which would help guys like KDB break into the squad for next year. Maybe it's just my enthusiasm for playing with the new Chelsea squad, but I've enjoyed this game a lot so far and think the gameplay is very much improved.
