How bad was that from gervinho....easy chance for breakaway goal and he tries to do it all himself and gets tackled

 
We needed oxlaide chamberlain in there last night. Up until his injury he was our most dangerous player in the international friendlies.

 
Far too many long range shots last night, it would appear that Stevie me is rubbing off on the rest of them.

Most of them were good shots. I thought the Henderson one went in.

Can't believe how once again a f**king god awful pathetic display by Gerrard is excused, he left so much space in the middle to allow the Italian midfield to basically wander through.

Baines was left massively exposed by rooney but he was poor defensively, big mistake not taking Cole.

Rooney was what most expected, dog sh*t.

Johnson....f**ks sake.

Henderson completely anonymous.

Sterling was very good, though still chooses the wrong option too often. But he terrifies teams when he runs at them, its great to see.

Central defence did well i thought though Cahill got caught under the ball for the goal.

Their keeper only had a couple of saves to make, and to be honest they were bread and butter saves.

I think they call them saves for the camera.

 
England will finish bottom of their group. Will be surprised if they get a point.

Gerrard has to be the most insipid, passionless, boring Captain England has ever had.

Incidentally have we ever beaten Italy in a tournament match? From memory I can't recall one game England have won.

 
Funny how no-one in the media is commenting on how sh*t Gerrard was. He was a complete non-entity. Offered nothing defensively, and nothing offensively. Useless.

 
Here is what I got out of the game - Gerrard = sh*te, utterly tits against world class opposition, Rooney 300k = sh*te, apart from the cross for the goal was tits,  Johnson = sh*te, most overrated RB in England, Welbeck = sh*te, how does a player who can't even make a piss poor Utd side make an international 11,  Henderson = sh*te, he plays for Liverpool say no more, Baines = sh*te, Wroy left the best LB in the world at home  - the rest of the team were OK, Sterling and Sturridge were good, Cahill and Jagelika were OK at the back but Gary caught out against Mario, although in fairness Johnson was out of position which didn't help Gary.  Would have played Barkley instead of Rooney, Llanna instead of Henderson.  Draw against Uruguay and we are on the next plane home, on the positive side we won't have to travel and play in that sh*t hole again.

Actually, a draw against Uruguay wouldn't be a complete disaster. This is hoping that Italy beat Costa Rica (very possible). We could very well get through with four points.

Cole is far from the best LB in the world.

There's a reason why he was dropped for a right back.

Welbeck actually played well, people are extremely harsh on him.

 
Well thank **** we don't have to watch Italian football every week, zzzzzzzz, stroll on the prem.
