The John Terry Appreciation Thread

JT has been speaking recently on Jimmy Ballard's Golf show.

He said he was disappointed not to be involved with the coaches that took charge of the city and fulham away games.

It is rather interesting that he was not there at least as an assistant, especially since he has been working with the under 21s before.

Also That he did not get the under 21 job when Callum McFarland moved in to the first team role.

Especially as he's the most qualified coach in that set up. Not Kinetic though!

 
Probably only a matter of time before the club parts ways with Terry entirely. It's all about timing with them. He even says it himself, he's working a part time job. It's only a matter of time before they squeeze him out and give somebody his job on a permanent basis.

Yep the last vestiges of anything to do with Roman.

Reece and Trev are on borrowed time as well.

The only thing left to change then will be the legacy fans !

I wonder if Eden and JT were discussing the many fine results against Spurs especially the 2-2 draw in 2016. One of those times when a draw felt like a victory.

I wonder if they play golf like they played football. So JT smashing the ball up the fairway, lay up, tap in for a Birdie/Par. Hazard Drawing/Fading it all over the place, hit woods from the rough, put from off the green, get either an Eagle or a triple bogey....

 
Much more likely to become a Restore MP than a football manager now.

I find it incredible that no one has given him a chance in football management even taking into account (from my perspective anyway) his very questionable politics.

Do we have a defensive coach?

He spoke about that in an interview actually. He trains for pleasure and to keep up with his kids, rather than because someone forced him too. His mental space is just completely different. He may have been at one point among the top 3 football players in the world, but it was just a job to him.

Lot to admire about Hazard.

It’s beggars belief we have the greatest Premier League CB of all time ‘available’ and we aren’t using him.

Our CB’s are our weakest group (People will say CM but compare both groups at full fitness) and it’s not necessarily an ability issue as opposed to a mentality one.

Get JT in, get him into these lads heads. He’d instantly get Josh & Levi more committed by just being around.

The only one that’s a lost cause is probably Fofana as I don’t think there’s much going on up there.

He should go abroad if he can't make it here, Ashley Cole went to Italy.
