Wasn't that bad a performance, we created good chances, scored a nice goal. Sloppy defending cost us in the end. If only we had a commanding, world class centre back...

 
England were dire second half! If you play at the pace they were playing first half that's always going to happen in that heat. May possibly finish 2nd in the group but even if so they will be embarassed in the next round

Maybe you're just letting the media get to your head. We're not all what the media say we are. 

That was a decent performance. If we play like that against U r gay and Costa Rica, we'll get through.

 
Funnily it's the big names if Gerrard and Rooney who you feel disappointed with, they've not delivered tonight.

Quality of our final ball and finishing wasn't good enough and that's what cost us.

Yep I hate when you bring the youth to turn the match around when it should be experience you should be bringing on in such occasions. 

You have Starfish and Looney on the bench and than hope that when you bring them on they would be motivated to prove they are still up for the first team. 

Instead Woy picks based on name status instead of what would work best with this group of players, and for sure Looney playing on the wing and Starfish in the middle is far from the best option for England.

First half was ok and second half felt like a flashback to South Africa. We are too slow to go forward and, credit where it's due, Italy were a different class to us second half.

 
First hour from England was decent enough, but as the game went on Italy were more and more comfortable. What a player Pirlo is. Makes it looks so so easy. It's embarrassing when you compare Gerrard's "performance" to his.

Not a complete disaster for England, but the game with Uruguay is the definition of must win.

 Where the f*ck would we get a pair of centre backs and left back who know how to defend? Dream on.

 
Best England performance in a long, long time. One step at a time I suppose, unlucky not to get the win.

No, I can form my own opinion thanks - we're sh*t...it's pretty plain to see...I predicted on this forum days ago that we will go out in the group stages...already on the way to being proved right
